BackgroundCushings syndrome due to ectopic ACTH secretion only accounts for 10% of all cases of Cushings syndrome and is most often associated with pulmonary neuro-endocrine tumors. Treatment of ectopic ACTH syndrome is predominantly surgical with resection of the tumor.
